Today we have the second in a two part series with our interview with local Texarkana luminary George Moore. Born in Marshall, Texas in 1948, Moore attended segregated schools before graduating high-school and attending East Texas Baptist University to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. Moore began his teaching career in the early seventies at Texas Independent School District despite wanting to become a dentist. He began his teaching journey in 1971 and since then accrued nearly half-a-century in education there serving in various roles and taking on various volunteer positions in the area. Moore was recently awarded the prestigious C.E. Palmer Award. Sabrina McCormick reports. (February 16,  2024).
